Yesterday I attended my bible study where we are Studying 1John. The lesson yesterday was on light and darkness and how in this world we are led to live in the darkness because of the sins we commit. Jesus Christ can bring us into the light. Last night I had a thought about my own life and how I could better live in the light of Christ. I thought I must put this on my blog. The devil doing his work has taken this profound thought out of my conciousness.
I am learning so much from my bible studies that I felt that I must share this on my blog. I feel that I am better understanding the word of God and how the different books of the bible work together and deliver the same clear message several times. God is so good and when I meet with my friends to study he always sends us a message about his love and his grace.
On another subject God has blessed my daughter with a wonderful son. My grandson provides me with many moments of delight through his blog and when I get to physically be with him.
I am looking forward to spending a week with him this month. The memories that I have of his first year on earth are wonderful. Gabriel is truly a blessing from God.

I think it's great that you are learning so much through your Bible Studies, Mom. Sometimes it's hard to be that light in a dark and fallen world because we want to give into the darkness. It's our human nature. But having a good support group (like the ladies in your Bible Study) allows us to concentrate on keeping our light "on." Great post.

ReplyDeleteI love my Tuesday Bible study, and I wish I had time to do more classes. So I'm thankful to hear what other people are learning in their studies.
